Dunn + Moran designed and delivered two playgrounds for the existing Claremont Special School alongside a relocated productive garden and a series of Outdoor Learning Areas.

A number of factors were influential to the project including the acquisiton of a neighbouring property, bushfire risk, and the different needs of students across the breadth of the school.

A functional and adaptable design that could be actioned as determined by the programme and budget available was paramount to the success of the project.

Careful integration with the existing landscape to retain as many existing trees as possible maintains character and screening to the surrounding neighbourhood.

Procurement of specialised equipment was included, thoughtfully located to suit the unique requirements of the school.
